A master key system means different employees can each have a single key that opens just the doors they need, while you (or the manager) have one key that opens everything. It’s not magic. It’s clever pin-tumbler work, and for most small businesses it’s a no-brainer.
When someone leaves, you don’t have to chase down their keys or rekey every door in the building. You can rekey just the cylinders they had access to, and the master keeps working.
It’s not access control. If you need a log of who came in when, you want fobs or keypads. A master key system is about the right access for the right people, simply and reliably.
